This piece was inspired by the desire of the individual who commissioned the piece. She requested a watery scene, but also interest in the moon and its tones. The piece was a first for Crystal Lotus Studios using purely fusing techniques with flat glass for its resources. It is backed with a sheet of 10mm toughened glass which is sandblasted to alow the strong definition in the lines between the pieces. Lit the piece is spectacular. unlit it is something like a simple painting or image to enliven the stark wall upon which it rests.

The piece is 1.2m(4ft)sq. and opens via a hinged frame allowing access to the wall and/or for easier removal or placement.
